Traditional Stone House In Pirgou

The traditional stone house is located in the picturesque village of Pyrgou which is a 20 minutes drive from Heraklion. The house is located In a quiet lane offering privacy and scenic mountain views. It was built in 1900 and renovated to modern standards in 2007, keeping all the traditional stone and wood beam features. The entrance to the house is through a walled courtyard planted with trees which makes this an inviting outdoor living space. The main door opens into a country style kitchen and living room with a woodburning stove . On the ground floor is a bathroom with w.c, shower and a bath tub. The main bedroom also has an outside entrance. Wood stairs lead to the 2nd floor which has a mezzanine floor serving as an office space and library as well as a comfortable sitting area with a door leading onto a terrace with mountain views. On the terrace is the entrance to the guest room with its own bathroom and w.c. The village is on a bus route to Heraklion with a service 4 times a day. The next village (1km) has all amenities such as pharmacy, mini markets, Post office taverna's, bakeries, gas station, ATM.
